Ultralipo FAQ

Who is the treatment suitable for?
The treatment is suitable for men and women who want effective removal of excess fat cells without surgery and works even better when combined with a good diet and exercise. Your therapist will discuss with you the treatments that are best for you and which areas of your body that you want treated.

What happens during the treatment?
The consultant glides the ultrasonic probe over the targeted area, such as the stomach and short pulses of ultrasonic energy are delivered  into the subcutaneous fat cells.
The treatment is comfortable and calming and the most typical sensation felt is just a slight warmth where the pads are in contact with your skin.

How does the Ultrasonic Slimming Treatment work?
Each pulse breaks down fat in the cells, without affecting areas such as blood vessels, nerves or connective tissue.
When treated, the membranes of the fat cells are disrupted and the fat content (triglycerides) is dispersed into the fluid between the cells and then transported to the veins and lymphatic system to the liver.  The fat is then excreted via the body’s natural mechanisms.
There is no down time (apart from the treatment time itself) and minimal discomfort.

How many treatments will I need for the most effective results?
To see maximum results a course of 6 treatments is recommended per body area. These treatments should be taken twice a week, with at least three days in between treatments so that the metabolic system has time to clear the fat cells.

What inch loss could I achieve from this treatment?
This will vary depending on your size, but the results from the treatment will be greatly improved by your commitment to the treatment.  Also, a healthy diet needs to be adhered to and it is important to follow an exercise program. This should be done the same day as your Ultrasonic Slimming Treatment.

Can everyone have the treatment?
As with many treatments, there are a few medical conditions that would stop us from carrying out the treatment. Your therapist will conduct a full health and medical questionnaire with you before your first treatment to confirm you are suitable.
